The New York Times just ran a story alleging another case of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh, which had some opponents calling for him to be impeached. Problem is the Times didn't include the fact that the alleged victim told friends she doesn't recall the incident.
Here's what you had to say about the Times handling of the story:
Jim from Newalla first, "The NYT did NOT do enough to correct the story. This was a concerted act to smear someone without basis yet again."
Louise in Noble says, "I think it's so sad. That the New York Times and the Democrat leadership can promote a false statement just to ruin a good man."
But Myrla in Enid writes, "They rushed this appointment through too quickly. Makes many of us suspicious. We will always have doubts about him."
Warren says, "The media is out of control and it will continue, until there are consequences for this out of control behavior."
And Jan from Edmond adds, "Time to go to court and sue the NYT. Don't write a story unless you have verified evidence."
Finally, John in Norman writes, "Tonight, you tried to exonerate our raping Supreme Court justice with some very puny evidence. And just a few minutes later, Colbert came on and had triple the amount of evidence, valid and reliable."
John, you might verify that with Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel just to make sure.
