Sassy Signature Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  1. In a large bowl using a handmixer eat together the brown sugar for sugar and the butter for two minutes.
  2. Add in the two eggs vanilla baking soda and sea salt.
  3. Continue beating until creamy.
  4. Carefully mix in the all purpose flour just until the flower is mixed in. 
  5. Do not over mix the cookie dough.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°.
  8. Once oven comes to temperature place scoops of cookie dough onto baking sheet at least 2 inches apart and bake for 8 to 9 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven allowed to sit for 3 to 4 minutes and then remove from the baking sheet to continue cooling on your parchment lined counter.
  10. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

** Sassy Tip - Place two pieces of bread in the bottom of the air tight container and then set a piece of parchment paper on top of the bread and then add your cookies in. That way the bread keeps the cookies moist and chewy and they don't dry out.
