OCPD Searching For Suspect Accused Of Shooting A Man In NW OKC

Oklahoma City police continue their search for a gunman who reportedly opened fire into a couple's car in northwest Oklahoma City.

Police said one victim was shot in the vehicle near Western Avenue and Hefner, but have not said if the victim was targeted. 

Police said the victim, his girlfriend, and child had just left the Dollar General when the shooter opened fire on their car.The male occupant was the only one hit. Officials said he was shot twice before veering off the road.

He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but has been upgraded to stable condition.

The victim was able to tell police while leaving the store he and his girlfriend noticed a black male standing in the street.

Police have not released a suspect description. No arrests have been made.
