A pursuit suspect is in custody after crashing out near Tuttle, Friday morning.
Authorities tell News 9 the suspect wrecked on State Highway 4, just to the south of State Highway 37, after a Canadian County Sheriff’s deputy performed a pit maneuver.
The suspect’s vehicle rolled multiple times before stopping in front yard of a home. There has been no official word on injuries, but an ambulance was requested at the scene.
The pursuit started after a deputy tried to pull the suspect’s vehicle over for a routine traffic violation. Authorities say the suspect, who has not been identified, did not have a driver’s license and took off.
After being pitted, investigators say they found marijuana, a white powdery substance and an undisclosed amount of cash in the vehicle. Investigators also learned that the suspect had warrants for his arrest out of Cleveland County. He was arrested and booked on complaints of possession of stolen property, drug possession and assault with a deadly weapon.
