No Online Payments For Oklahoma City Citations And Tickets During Computer System Change

Fines for City of Oklahoma City citations, including traffic and parking tickets, may be paid only in person or by phone while the Municipal Court transitions to a new computer system. 

Online payments won’t be accepted between 7 p.m. Aug. 30 and 12:01 a.m. Sept. 6. To pay fines during this time, call (405) 297-3898 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays for payments by phone, or pay in person at the Municipal Court Public Counter, 700 Couch Drive, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day including holidays. 

Court patrons planning to appear in court regarding their citation may still do so on their court date. 

It may take longer than usual to pay a citation in person during the transition and in the days and weeks immediately thereafter. Court staff will still be adjusting to the new computer system, and more people may be paying fines in person and by phone while the online payment system is down. 

“Citations are often paid close to their arraignment and due date, so we want to provide as much advance notice as we can that online payments will be unavailable for about a week,” Municipal Court Administrator LaShawn Thompson said. 

Parking tickets issued Sept. 1-5 won’t be able to be paid until Sept. 6, also because of the computer system change. 

Notes on the Municipal Court’s website will provide information about what to do while the online payment system is temporarily unavailable. 

The Municipal Court’s current computer system is obsolete. The new computer system is a step on a path to a paperless administrative process, helping staff to more efficiently serve residents and visitors participating in Municipal Court processes.
