Exactly seven days after blowing a 22-point lead in a road loss inside of Staples Center, the Thunder avenged that brutal loss to the Clippers with an emphatic 120-108 home win of its own.

Russell Westbrook recorded his second straight triple-double and eleventh of the season with an astounding stat line of 25 points, 20 assists and 11 rebounds. That makes Westbrook the third player in 30 years to record 20 assists and at least 10 rebounds in a game.

Much like the last time these Western Conference foes squared off, the Thunder roared to a fast start led by the unselfishness of Westbrook, who ripped off eight assists in the first quarter and notched his tenth helper with 7:34 remaining in the second quarter.
Despite the first quarter dominance, OKC let its defense slip in the second quarter as the Clippers were able to make up some ground. Both Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford were playing aggressive, lights out basketball and the Thunder only led by two points at halftime.
After a back-and-forth start to the third quarter and the score tied at 75-75, Westbrook and Serge Ibaka led a 12-to-2 Thunder run to put the Thunder up 10 points while holding all the momentum.

Kevin Durant drilled an elbow 3-pointer to give the Thunder its biggest lead of the night at 98-85, and it was evident that OKC wasn’t going to make the same mistakes it made in last week’s loss to LA. Enes Kanter converted a reverse layup a couple of possessions later, and then Anthony Morrow swished a corner 3-pointer to put the home team up 18 points with just over 8 minutes left to play.
The Clippers did cut their deficit down to 12 points after J.J. Redick made 3-pointers on three straight possessions, but the OKC defense buckled down the rest of the way and coasted to a much needed double-digit victory.
Along with Westbrook, Kevin Durant was tremendous as usual in the win, and finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.

Serge Ibaka finished with 15 points and Enes Kanter added 14 points and seven rebounds off the bench. OKC outrebounded LA 42-27, and the Clippers only managed to grab two offensive rebounds.
Jeff Green led the Clippers in scoring with 23 points in only 26 minutes, while Paul finished with 12 points and 16 assists. DeAndre Jordan scored 18 points but only managed to grab seven rebounds and Crawford totaled 16 points off the bench.
The Thunder will be back in action on Friday night when the Timberwolves come to town for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
