A suspicious neighbor helped lead Canadian County deputies to two people who may be responsible for a string of burglaries in three counties.

The neighbor observed some suspicious activity at a rural house on October 2, and called the sheriff's office. The burglars had left the scene by the time deputies arrived, but the neighbor gave a detailed description of the man and woman, as well as the car they were driving.

A short time later, a Canadian County deputy spotted the vehicle in El Reno on Highway 66. With the help of the El Reno Police Department, deputies stopped the car and took the man and woman inside into custody.

The neighbor identified the man and woman as the two people seen burglarizing the house. Deputies learned they were 31-year-old Danny Cue and 46-year-old Linda Sue Ornelas.

During a search, deputies found several stolen items that were connected to at least six separate residential burglaries in Canadian, Caddo, and Grady counties. Those items include jewelry, computers, cameras, tools, and a semi-automatic pistol.

The sheriff's offices from all three counties are working together to investigate the burglaries.

Cue and Ornales were arrested and booked for burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of stolen property, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Both suspects have several previous felony convictions, including burglary.

They're each being held on a $65,000 bond.
