House Fire In NW OKC Ruled Accidental

Oklahoma City firefighters rushed to a house fire Tuesday morning in the northwest part of the city.

Oklahoma City firefighters rushed to a house fire Tuesday morning in the northwest part of the city.

The fire started just before 11:30 a.m. in the 3100 block of N.W. 61st Terrace. That's near N.W. 63rd Street and May.

When firefighters arrived there were visible flames, and smoke was pouring from the roof and windows. Crews quickly got the fire under control.

According to the OKC Fire Department, the cause is apparently an accidental cooking fire. Total lost estimated at $100,000.

No one was inside the home when the fire started. No one was hurt.
