Overnight Earthquake Shakes Edmond Area

Some Edmond residents were rattled out of their beds early Thursday morning when a small earthquake shook the area.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.8 magnitude quake struck at 12:17 a.m. six miles east of Edmond, and 14 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

News 9 received dozens of phone calls and Facebook posts from people who felt the quake. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
