An Oklahoma City police officer who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident earlier this month is now in stable condition.
On September 8, Officer Matt Grice was off duty and sitting at a red light when another car slammed into the back of his vehicle near Shawnee. He was rushed to OU Medical Center, where he underwent brain surgery.

Grice's family told News 9 on Saturday that Grice is now in stable condition. He has woken up several times and has been able to squeeze his wife's hand.
Grice will eventually go to a rehabilitation center, where doctors are confident he will eventually learn to walk again.
A fund has been set up to help the Grice family.
