MOORE, Oklahoma - Moore Public Schools announced Wednesday a schedule for the release of student grades following last week's tornado that destroyed two of the district's elementary schools, and killed seven students.

Superintendent Susie Pierce says grades will be available on the parent portal after 4 p.m. Thursday, May 30. Those grades will be online through June 14. The district will mail the grades for elementary and junior high students Friday, while grades for high school students will be mailed Tuesday.

Report cards for Pre-k and kindergarten students will be available at elementary home schools beginning Friday, May 31, from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Those not picked up will be mailed Monday.

Printed copies of grades will also be available at each student's home school, with the exceptions of Plaza Towers Elementary, Briarwood Elementary, Highland East Junior High and Southmoore High. The May 20 tornado destroyed both elementary schools. Parents of children who attended Plaza Towers can pick up grades at Eastlake Elementary. Parents of children who attended Briarwood can pick up grades at Wayland Bonds Elementary.

The tornado also damaged Highland East Junior High. Parents of those students can pick up grades at Moore High School.

The tornado did not hit Southmoore High, but the school's electricity is still out and there's a lot of debris around the building. Parents of those students can pick up grades at Highland West Junior High.
