Special Olympics Oklahoma kicks off its 44th Annual Summer games this week but one man is doing more than his part for the event.

For the past 13 years, Former OHP Trooper Stewart Meyer walks more than 100 miles, from Chickasha to Stillwater, to raise money and, more importantly, awareness for the Special Olympics.

The Summer Games kick off with the opening ceremonies Wednesday night.

The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. at Gallagher Iba Arena in Stillwater. Former OU coach Barry Switzer opens the games with the Special Olympics Oath.
