The Oklahoma City RedHawks won their second game in a row Wednesday night, downing the Fresno Grizzlies, 7-1 Wednesday night.

The two-game winning streak is the first winning streak for Oklahoma City since the RedHawks won three in a row against Iowa July 24-26.

Brett Oberholtzer pitched seven strong innings for the RedHawks, giving up just five hits and one run, while striking out five batters. Grizzlies starter Yusmeiro Petit took the loss for Fresno.

The RedHawks did an excellent job taking advantage of having runners in scoring position, going 5-for-10 in those scenarios.

The RedHawks struck first, going ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning on an Angel Sanchez sacrifice fly that scored Jimmy Paredes.

The Grizzlies countered with a run of their own in the top of the sixth inning to knot the score at one.

Then, in the bottom of the seventh inning, the RedHawks exploded for six runs and batted around in the inning. That established a 7-1 lead the RedHawks wouldn't relinquish.

The two teams are back in action at The Brick Thursday night at 7:05 p.m.
