A wedding ring reported stolen from an Edmond home has been returned to its rightful owner, according to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.
The victim reported to authorities her wedding ring had been stolen from her home, located in the Deer Creek area of Edmond on May 31. During the investigation, deputies determined that Christopher Binkley, who works as an insect exterminator, was the suspect in this case.
Investigators followed a digital paper trail and determined that Binkley sold the ring at a metro pawn shop for less than $200.
Binkley, 19, admitted to stealing the ring, according to the sheriff's office. He was then booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on complaints of grand larceny and false declaration to a pawn broker.
Sheriff John Whetsel returned the ring to its rightful owner on Thursday, June 15.
