Police arrested a metro mother after she allegedly drove drunk with her toddler in the car.
Teresa Vellejo was taken into custody after police pulled her over in southeast Oklahoma City on June 2.
An officer said he smelled alcohol on Vellejo's breath and saw her 3-year-old child unbuckled inside the car.
Police asked Vellejo to step out of the vehicle, and she was unsteady on her feet. Police say she was also slurring her speech.
Court documents show Vellejo did not have a driver's license.
Vellejo was arrested on charges of aggravated DUI, child endangerment, operating a vehicle without a valid license, failing to wear a seatbelt, failing to protect child under 6 with child restraint, and failing to comply with compulsory insurance law.
