A boy was rushed to the Tulsa hospital in critical condition after nearly drowning at Sandy Point on Keystone Lake Wednesday evening.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 4-year-old Kolton Boyce of Tulsa was about eight feet from shore in about two feet of water with his siblings, ages 6 and 9, at about 8:35 p.m. when his mom turned away to check on her baby.

When she looked back, Kolton was gone.

His siblings said he had "gone to sleep" in the water.

The OHP says the mother found him, carried him to shore and started CPR.  Two other people helped administer CPR until paramedics arrived.
