Oklahoma City police are looking for a rape suspect and seek help from the public.

Oklahoma City Police Sex Crimes investigators have released a composite sketch of the suspect, who is described as an Hispanic man, 35-years-old, 5'06" tall and 160 pounds. He has a dark complexion and dark mustache.

The man is wanted in connection with a rape that occurred on March 17. According to police, the female victim was in the 1300 block of W. Sheridan when she was raped by the suspect.

The rape happened near the Jesus house. But the outside of the Jesus house, crime is commonplace according to the executive director.

"We certainly need to get that out and make everyone aware of it my security team need to be aware of it so we are all on the lookout and we can be as vigilant as possible to protect ourselves," said Rick Denny the executive director of Jesus.

The shelter protects its residents by doing background checks on everyone who walks through shelter doors and security is on standby.

"Even though we have a lot of homeless people in the area, the homeless people look out for each other and that really surprises me," said Lori Kale. "People just need to watch your back be aware of yours surroundings don't be to placid in what you do keep aware."

Investigators encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers 405-235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a cash reward.
