My 2 Cents: Celebrating Ten Years

People love anniversaries of all kinds, really. Wedding anniversaries, employment anniversaries, anniversaries marking important dates in history.

Some anniversaries are so anxiously awaited, all the buildup makes the day itself seem almost anticlimactic, but an anniversary passed last week with nary a whimper. In fact, I didn't even realize it myself.

If not with a cake, we could have at least observed it with a pie. You see, it was ten years ago, ten years ago last week we started this segment, My 2 Cents.

The very first commentary was on the moment of silence then debated in the legislature, now observed in Oklahoma's public schools.

The second commentary that week was on a chainsaw giveaway by the federal government following one of our big ice storms. I was eligible, but passed since I only had one limb down.

But over the last decade what I remember most about this segment is Your 2 Cents, your comments.

So tonight I ask you again, what do you think of this My 2 Cents segment?

What would you like to hear more of and less of? Boy, that's asking for it, isn't it?
