SEMINOLE, Oklahoma -- A Seminole woman who pleaded guilty to child neglect in her infant daughter's death isn't sentenced on Tuesday as schedule. That's because she didn't show up.
Crystal Erb, 23, was scheduled to be sentence at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 20. When she failed to show up, a bench warrant was issued for her arrest.
Erb and the baby's father, Samuel Eugene Wheeler, Jr., 29, both entered guilty pleas in October in the April 2008 death of Tamberlyn Wheeler. A report showed the baby weighed less when she died than when she was born.
Investigators say they found unused milk vouchers inside the home where the little girl died. She reportedly also tested positive for marijuana.
Wheeler's sentencing is scheduled for January 5. The couple's other children remain in the state's custody.
