Special Olympics Oklahoma Raises Funds And Awareness With Sonic Drive-Ins

Special Olympics Oklahoma partners with Sonic Drive-Ins to raise funds and awareness. During the entire month of June 2010, Special Olympics Oklahoma will receive a portion of the proceeds from each Wacky Pack sold at all participating Oklahoma Sonic Drive-Ins.

OKLAHOMA CITY—Special Olympics Oklahoma partners with Sonic Drive-Ins to raise funds and awareness. During the entire month of June 2010, Special Olympics Oklahoma will receive a portion of the proceeds from each Wacky Pack sold at all participating Oklahoma Sonic Drive-Ins.

Since 2005, Special Olympics have received donations in excess of $310,000 from Sonic Drive-Ins.

Sonic Drive-Ins was presented with the 2009 Synar Award for Excellence. The Synar Award is presented annually to a sponsor who most reflects commitment to Special Olympics Oklahoma.

"We are excited to partner with Oklahoma's Sonic Drive-Ins in June for this unique promotion to raise funds for the 9,500 Special Olympics athletes residing in the state," said Adrian DeWendt, Special Olympics Oklahoma Executive Director.
