EDMOND, Oklahoma -- New disturbing details have emerged in the case of the three Edmond teenagers accused of killing a homeless man in October.

Connor Mason, Nikolas Kerr and Heather Parker, all 19-years-old, have all been charged in connection to the crime.

Cell phones, steak knives and drugs may have all played a role in the death of Dwite Morgan, known throughout the Edmond community as "Bicycle Bob." Those are among the items collected by investigators, according to an affidavit.

Surveillance video from a Wal-Mart reportedly shows Connor Mason and Nikolas Kerr buying a knife in the sporting goods section of the store. It also caught them buying a flashlight, which police said matched the one found at the crime scene.

A search of an Edmond apartment where Kerr and Mason lived yielded hair, clothing and several towels.

"Let's remember a person is innocent until proven guilty, and we should give Mr. Kerr that same respect that we would give you or me or anyone else charged with that," Don Jackson, Kerr's lawyer, said.

Jackson's client appeared in court on an unrelated animal abuse charge two weeks ago. He alleged his client was not the one who committed the murder, although he did concede that Kerr was not forthcoming with police about his friend's involvement.

"The person that committed this murder is a very scary individual, he apparently has psychological problems, rather intimidating, and he was too scared to say anything to anyone," Jackson said.

But prosecutors don't believe that and are prepared to lay out all the evidence against this trio next month in a preliminary hearing.

Another man was arrested and charged for this murder, but he was later released and the charges were dropped.
