COPENHAGEN -- Senator Jim Inhofe for years has been a leading voice against global warming and the Republican Senator is in Copenhagen today as Environment ministers continue trying to come up with an agreement on global warming.

Senator Inhofe calls global warming, "…greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people."

So far, little progress has been made because negotiators from more than 190 countries are deadlocked in trying to come up with a pact. China told participants there's no chance a deal will be reached.

The communist state and the U.S. are at odds over several issues including how deep the emission cuts should be and how they'll prove they're actually sticking to the plan.

Massachusetts Senator John Kerry talked with Chinese officials yesterday and was hopeful about bridging the divide.

"I think the conclusion that we came to, both of us, was that it is possible to find an agreement here," Sen. John Kerry (D) Massachusetts said.

Meanwhile dozens of heads of state, including President Obama, also arrive later today in hopes of reaching a deal when the summit ends tomorrow.

The U.S. and five other countries have pledged to spend $3.5 billion over the next three years to protect the world's forests.
