OKLAHOMA CITY -- Some of Oklahoma's youngest residents are falling victim to the economy. Infant Crisis Services is seeing a sharp rise in the number of families in need.
Infant Crisis Services provides food, formula, clothing, diapers to children under 4-years-old. Last month alone the agency saw almost 1,100 babies and toddlers, a 44 percent increase from one year ago.
While they love to help, there is a downside.
"It's hard to keep the shelves filled. That means we're giving out many more diapers. A lot more formula used clothing and all those things and so those areas are beginning to lag a little bit,"
You can help by donating items on the online wish list or you can donate money through the Infant Crisis Services' Web site.
