A tornado-warned storm moved through northern Muskogee County into Cherokee County on Monday.
Severe storms, tornadoes moved through Oklahoma
One home in a neighborhood two minutes from downtown Fort Gibson had a massive tree that fell on their roof, and they're not alone. Several neighbors in this area have trees that have fallen on their homes.
More than one neighbor has a car that will never drive again because of the damage from these trees. A generator was running in the neighborhood because there was no power on this street.
When News On 6 came in, we saw about a dozen utility trucks working to get the power back on, half a dozen utility poles that were broken in half. We saw power lines, something to be cautious of. There's a crematorium across the way that has lost half of its roof.
News On 6 spoke with several neighbors who had no idea this was going to happen. They said there was a light rain. Then all of a sudden, a big, heavy rain happened with a lot of wind.
Everyone in the neighborhood said they were glad that everyone was okay.
