**Editor's note: Police notified News 9 at 9:04 p.m. Tuesday that officers made a traffic stop and detained two people of interest at Northwest 70th Street and Drexel Avenue.**
Police say a woman died following a shooting on the southwest side of the city Tuesday. The victim drove from the scene after being shot and crashed into a church near Southwest 38th and Johnston Avenue. Police said on Tuesday the woman was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in critical condition and died while in surgery.
Police said the woman was in her vehicle when she was shot at 2:04 p.m. near Southwest 38th and Blackwelder Avenue. She drove about a block before crashing into Redemption Church. Police do not know if the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident or if the shooting occurred at a home. The victim's vehicle had one bullet hole in the windshield and the passenger side window was shot out. No one has been taken into custody but officers did search a home with guns drawn near the shooting scene.
"We do not believe there is a threat to the public, we believe it may have been an isolated incident," said Officer Denisha Lambeth, Oklahoma City Police Department. "Again, they are still trying to gather information so if anyone seen or heard anything we encourage them to call and give that information, that would be very helpful."
Police said the victim did not have anyone else in the vehicle. They have not released the victim's name or age.
