Squash & Burrata Flatbread

Description

A delicious recipe straight from the garden! Perfect for any summer gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 flatbread crust
  • 2 tablespoons pesto sauce
  • 1 (4 ounce) burrata or fresh mozzarella
  • 1-2 zucchini, sliced 1/4 inch thick rounds
  • grated parmesan cheese
  • Garnish: Hot honey or truffle honey
  • 3 slices prosciutto

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Prep: Place a pizza steel or stone in the oven to preheat.
  3. Prep: To prepare flatbread: spread pesto all over the flatbread crust.
  4. Prep: Put slices of zucchini over the top of the pesto and then tear pieces of prosciutto and arrange over the zucchini.
  5. Prep: Use scissors to cut burrata into pieces and arrange evenly over the top.
  6. Prep: Sprinkle with parmesan and drizzle olive over the top.
  7. Cook: Use a pizza peel or paddle to transfer the flatbread to the hot oven.
  8. Cook: Cook for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted on top.
  9. Cool: Remove from the oven and cool 5 minutes before cutting. Drizzle with truffle or hot honey for an exciting taste twist.
