Ardmore Schools Closed Monday As District Evaluates Building Safety

Ardmore City Schools announced that classes on Monday have been canceled, and all schools within the district will be closed.

In a post on social media, Ardmore City Schools Superintendent Jill Day said on Sunday they wanted to ensure the safety of all locations before allowing students, staff and faculty to return.

"We have been in close contact with OG&E throughout this decision making," Day said. "We will be accessing each of our sites tomorrow to assess any damage to buildings and ensure the safety of food storage facilities."
