An easy breakfast or brunch idea, perfect for the holidays.
Ingredients
- 10 Slices of bread (crusts removed)
- 3 Eggs
- 1 Tbsp of milk
- 2 Tbsp of apple butter
- 1/2 Cup of cinnamon sugar
- Maple syrup
- Small breakfast sausage links
Instructions
- 1: Roll your pieces of bread (without the crust) flat with a rolling pin
- 2: Add a smear of apple butter to one side of the flattened bread slice
- 3: Add a cooked sausage link on top of the apple butter smear
- 4: Roll up the bread and sausage, pressing together the seam
- 5: Mix together eggs and milk in a bowl or dish
- 6: Add your cinnamon sugar to a bowl or dish
- 7: Dip your sausage and bread roll into the egg mixture. Submerge it fully.
- 8: Add the sausage roll to a skillet/pan on medium heat
- 9: Cook the sausage roll for about a minute or two, flipping and turning frequently until browned
- 10: Dip cooked roll into the cinnamon sugar
- 11: Finish off by dipping your roll in syrup or drizzling it on top!
