Buffalo defensive back Damar Hamlin was quickly taken to the hospital on Tuesday following a heart attack he suffered in the first quarter of the Bills' game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
News 9 sports contributor Dusty Dvoracek said the scene in Cincinnati was unlike any he had seen before.
"That was a sad and very scary scene last night," Dvoracek said. "I've played a lot of football... I've never seen anything remotely like that."
Dvoracek also said even in terms of injuries, Hamlin's medical emergency was something he had yet to see.
"We've seen players be hurt, be down for a while, but CPR, for a player to be intubated in front of his teammates," Dvoracek said. "I thought the looks on the faces of those players really told the story."
Hamlin is still in critical condition at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but is sedated for further testing.

"What started out as potentially one of the biggest games of the NFL season, it was an afterthought," Dvoracek said. "Football didn't matter, Damar Hamlin's life is what mattered."
