The plans for ‘Thunder Alley’ have been put on hold after Mayor David Holt’s State of the City address on Thursday.

The plans are on hold as the city and the Oklahoma City Thunder begin discussions on building a new arena for the team.

The Thunder’s 15-year contract with the Paycom Center comes up in 2023. David Holt announced that the Thunder have resigned with the Paycom Center for 3 more years.

The Paycom Center is currently the smallest arena in the NBA. Paycom Center originally opened in 2002.
