Hours away from the Valero Alamo Bowl between the Oklahoma Sooners and Oregon Ducks, and there's a group of Sooners fans who haven't had to travel far at all.

There are about 600 University of Oklahoma alumni living in the greater San Antonio area.

"The OU Club, for me, is just an extension of what OU is for me," said OU Club of San Antonio member Tim Donovan. "A great place to go and a fun place to go and share stories, camaraderie."

Donovan said he's excited to get to see Bob Stoops coach the Sooners one more time.

"I'm just excited to see Coach Stoops get to coach his son. You know, having a relationship with a father who is a leader is special, and I was lucky to have that with my dad. He retired after 35 years in the Marine Corps," he said.

The San Antonio OU Club isn't only there to watch sporting events together. The group donates scholarships to the university and helps to recruit future Sooners.
