A man said he and his friend escaped death last Monday while they were inside a Midwest City 7-Eleven.
Midwest City police are looking for Terry Pursell II for two complaints of attempted murder.
“He tried to make me meet my maker, that's going to be on tv,” said shooting victim Jesse Tyree.
Last week, Tyree said he thought he would breathe his last breath.
“I knew when I hit the floor, I wasn’t going to come out of it,” said Tyree.
Tyree and his friend Renee Lynch were inside the gas station when he said Lynch's ex-boyfriend Terry Pursell stormed in.
“He pushed two people out of the way and put innocent lives in danger,” said Tyree.
According to police, Pursell shot Tyree first.
“I pushed her out the way. I felt it hit my leg and I was on the way down, and I saw my arm go,” said Tyree.
Pursell then turned his attention to his ex, shooting Lynch twice.
“She was getting a bullet removed today,” said Tyree.
Officers said Pursell ran off.
According to police reports, moments before entering the store, Pursell told mutual friends, "I'm doing it, I'm going to kill them both."
Tyree said those friends called to warn Lynch, but it was too late.
“Evil comes in all shapes and sizes,” said Tyree.
Since the attack, Tyree said he and Lynch have been living in fear.
“I’m more scared now than I was in the midst of it,” said Tyree.
Court documents say he texted Lynch saying, "Last thing you will ever see in this life," along with a photo of the muzzle of a gun.
Police are actively searching for Pursell.
