THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UDATE: News 9’s earlier story follows below.
Logan County deputies are searching for a man wanted in connection to a deadly shooting.
Deputies are searching for 29-year-old Cody Scruggs. He is described to be around 5'7" with brown hair and green eyes and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and jeans.
According to authorities, deputies responded to a shooting call Sunday around 8 p.m. on Rollingwood Drive near Coltrane Road and Simmons Road. When deputies arrived they found one man dead.
Investigators believe this stemmed from a domestic dispute and the suspect's house is actually across the street from the scene.
"We still don't know all of the details as to the motive of why. But we believe he could possibly be in the house across the street." said Logan Co. Sheriff, Damon Devereaux. He continued " It's dark. We've tried to reach out through the public address system and are unable at this point, to make contact with him."
The sheriff's office said they have multiple units around the area.
This is a developing story.
