Tinker Air Force Base Tops More Than 90 Cases Of COVID-19

Tinker Air Force Base said Tuesday it delayed updating its daily coronavirus numbers due to the tracing of 15 new COVID-19 cases between July 2 and July 7.

Tinker Air Force Base said Tuesday it delayed updating its daily coronavirus numbers due to the tracing of 15 new COVID-19 cases between July 2 and July 7.

The total number of cases reported has risen to 92 at Tinker.

Among the people who tested positive for the virus were three civilians working in the 76th Software Engineering Group, two civilians working in the 76th Commodities Maintenance Group, four members of the 552nd Air Control Wing, a 373rd Training Squadron and spouse, a member of the 564th Air Maintenance Squadron and three members of the 72nd Air Base Wing.

The base reported just 10 new positive cases between April 22 and May 27. However, 59 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported at Tinker Air Force Base since June 4.

Tinker Air Force Base reported its first case of COVID-19 on March 25.
