Tulsa Police Searching Vehicles At Shoreline Apartments For Missing Toddlers

TULSA, Okla. - Police are continuing their three-day-long search for two missing toddlers who were last seen around the area of 21st and Mingo.

Tulsa police officers were seen in the area searching cars and apartments to find more leads.

Tulsa police say they activated their special response team, which is asking people a list of questions and if they can search their cars and apartments. Both children were last seen at Ryan’s Mingo convenience store off of 21st on Friday morning. Their mother Donisha Willis is custody accused of assaulting an officer and endangering her children. She is not cooperating with police. Right now police are stopping every car coming and going from the Shoreline and Lakeside apartments and asking them questions such as “do they live at the complex” and asking if they recognize the kids from their picture.

Officers say they they have returned to the Shoreline apartment complex, what they are calling ground zero, and have not given up on searching this area.

“So we are knocking on every single door checking every single car turning every single lead and looking at every single bush today very slowly and meticulously trying to find any information for the children themselves So we can get this to a closure,” said TPD Lt. Richard Meulenburg.

A group of citizens have organized a search party and are looking around the area outside the complex.
