More Than 100 Oklahoma Pork Processing Plant Employees Test Positive For Coronavirus (COVID-19)

More than 100 employees at an Oklahoma pork processing plant have tested positive for COVID-19.

Seaboard Foods in Guymon employs about 2,700 people, and 116 are sick. But for those who haven't tested positive, it's business as usual.

The company says it's working to keep other employees safe.

They are providing face masks, putting hand-sanitizing sations, and asking those who feel sick to stay home.

Guymon is in Texas County, and it has 236 confirmed virus cases and two deaths.

Last week, President Trump ordered beef, pork, and poultry processing plants to stay open, as they are considered critical infrastructure.

However, the Seaboard plant is open and did not close because of the pandemic.

The number of COVID-19 infections is thought to be higher than confirmed because a lot of people have not been tested, and studies show people can have the disease without symptoms.

However, most people infected with COVID-19 will recover.
