OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A member of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and Western Swing Hall of Fame of the Southwest has died.

Benny Garcia died Saturday after a lengthy illness. He was 80.

Garcia's career included work with Benny Goodman's big band, Western Swing legends Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Spade Cooley and Hank Thompson and country music's Pasty Cline.
