Fallen firefighters to be recognized with memorial

(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Fallen firefighters will soon be recognized with completion of a memorial and sculpture at the Oklahoma State Firefighters Museum. The effort to get the memorial has been a decade-long effort. The sculpture -- called "Just Another Day" is by Shahla Rahimi-Reynolds. It symbolized the every day hazards facing firefighters. The base consists of metal framework portraying a burning building. The sculpture is of a firefighter struggling to save his partner. The tribute will display the names of fallen Oklahoma firefighters. The project is due for completion on May first.
