(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Amateur Softball Association's headquarters in Oklahoma City will be getting a facelift soon.

The city council approved a four million dollars contract Tuesday for extensive renovation of the softball complex.

Work is scheduled to begin this week on the project, which will at least double the two-thousand-seat softball stadium.

Two new fields will be added to the existing two diamonds, allowing some tournaments to move to a triple-elimination format. In about a month, crews will begin work to greatly expand parking.

The renovations are scheduled for completion by April 15th.
