OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Nursing Association is looking for a few good men.

And the group is hoping to lure them into the profession with a calendar that's likely to appeal to women.

The 2005 calendar, "Nursing -- A Real Career for Real Men" features photos of registered male nurses from across the state at their workplaces and their hobbies.

Jane Nelson, executive director of the nursing association, says the calendar shows the range of jobs in nursing and the varied ages and interests of male nurses.

Men make up less than six percent of the nursing work force in Oklahoma. Of 23,600 registered nurses in the state, about 1,800 are men.

The nursing association will sell the calendars for $15 and give them away at job fairs.
