Travis Meyers' Hot Horse Cinnamon Candy

Cook sugar, water and syrup to 300 degrees, using a candy thermometer.

3-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1-1/2 cups white syrup (Karo syrup)
Cinnamon oil
Red food coloring
Powdered sugar

Cook sugar, water and syrup to 300 degrees, using a candy thermometer. Remove from heat. Add 10 drops of cinnamon oil (a few more if you like them REAL HOT). Add 10 drops of the food coloring and mix in both ingredients. Immediately pour onto a flat cake sheet. When cool, crack with small heavy utensil (like a small hammer). Cover in powdered sugar.
