Tulsa School Enrollment Tops 40,000

.According to TPS, 1,734 students were added in the the last week as school begins.

Tulsa public schools reported 38,201 students in class Thursday, after a rush of last minute enrollments during the first week of school.

TPS enrollment was up to 41,970 students, with 91 percent in class on the the second day.

The TPS enrollment center was briefly overwhelmed Wednesday on the first day of school, with a surge of parents enrolling children. According to TPS, 1,734 students were added in the last week.
