A new sculpture dedicated to the history and importance of Route 66 is going up at the Avery Traffic Circle at Admiral and Mingo.

Osage SkyNews 6 HD caught a view of the progress Thursday afternoon. Route 66 Rising is a 70-foot wide piece of art that will reach about thirty feet into the air.

The project costs more than $650,000 and is being paid for by the Vision 2025 tax package.
