Members of the states 13th Oklahoma Multi-county Grand Jury have spent 47 days over the past 18 months, investigating allegations of criminal conduct. They've issued thousands of subpoenas and called on hundreds of witnesses.

Grand jury members returned 25 indictments, charging a total of 31 people.

They also investigated a number of "cold cases," including Julie Mitchell's murder. According to the grand jury's final report, they received testimony from numerous witnesses regarding the murder of Julie Mitchell, who's badly beaten body was found in her northwest Oklahoma City home on November 2, 2010.

It states "Although this case remains unsolved, investigators continue to follow leads." The grand jury also stated it is optimistic that this case "will ultimately be solved." Members recommended  any future grand jury members to continue to investigate; something Mitchell's family hopes is true.

"I thought what the grand jury said was very important, about having the new leads," said Harvey Bryant, Julie Mitchell's father. "I know the detectives and people are working very hard on the case, so I feel good about that."

Oklahoma City police have taken DNA samples and interviewed numerous people in the case, including Julie's husband Teddy, his two sons, numerous friends and associates. Teddy Mitchell was in Arizona the night Julie was killed, but Julie's father is convinced Teddy is innocent and just wants the real killer to be caught.

"I still maintain there's a murderer out there on the streets," said Bryant. "And the quicker we find him the better off we are."

Bryant says he is still perplexed by the letters that were sent to different media agencies and that the police now have as evidence. He wants to know who was behind them.

"You know hopefully someone will come forward."

Bryant says the things that keep him and the family going are their faith, their memories of Julie, and her little girl, London, who was at home during the murder, but spared in the attack.

There is still a $1,000 reward offered by Crime Stoppers for tips on this cold case. Julie Mitchell's family is also offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Julie's killer.
