A man has been arrested after leading Oklahoma City police and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers on a high-speed pursuit on the Turner Turnpike Monday afternoon.
According to police, the pursuit began on Interstate 35 near the Turner Turnpike. Officers were trying to pull the vehicle over for a traffic violation when it took off.
It is unclear at this time what the traffic violation was.
The suspect got on the eastbound lanes of Turner Turnpike. That's when OHP troopers became involved in the pursuit.
Authorities set up stop sticks on the turnpike, and they were able to stop the suspect vehicle.
The man was then taken into custody. His identity has not been released.
