Cleveland County Sheriff's detectives have recovered $80,000 worth of stolen property from a residence in Noble. Now deputies need the public's assistance with identifying the burglary and larceny victims.

James Newsom, 23, has been arrested and charged in Cleveland County District Court in connection to the case.

Deputies have linked Newsom to burglaries and larcenies in numerous counties including Cleveland, Lincoln and Pottawatomie counties.

Last week, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office contacted CCSO deputies about a vehicle that Newsom was known to drive and had been involved in an attempted burglary in Meeker on January 7. The pickup was registered to a home in the 5800 block of 151st Street in Noble.

Deputies went to the home and spoke to the vehicle's owner who was an acquaintance of Newsom. Detectives determined that the owner was not involved in the attempted burglary in Lincoln County. However, the acquaintance told investigators that Newsom had parked trailers, mowers and other items on the land.

Investigators determined that the items that Newsom took to the property were stolen. Deputies confiscated all items including flat-bed trailers, motorcycles and commercial lawn mowers. A large portion of the items has been linked back to owners and some pieces returned.

Investigators have interviewed Newsom. As a result some victims have been identified.

Sheriff Joe Lester said burglary and larceny victims who have reported the crimes to CCSO and haven't had any contact about their case, may call the sheriff's office at 701-8888 and ask to speak with a detective.
