Authorities are still searching for leads in the unsolved murders of a woman and her unborn baby in The Village. The murder happened two years ago, and police there refuse to give up hope that they will one day track down who killed them.

The Village Police department has conducted several interviews behind closed doors inside the city complex and received countless phone calls. They have even had a phone wiretap going that led to the arrest of a dozen people on drug related charges, but nothing on the murder.

It was last May that The Village police conducted a wiretap on Cedric Wallace and Michael Isiaka - two people they considered persons of interest in the murder of Amber Stokke and her unborn child.

Wallace was Amber's boyfriend and appeared to be running a drug ring with Isiaka, where they were trafficking "cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills and Molly".

According to court records, The Village Police Dept. has been investigating Wallace and Isiaka since January 2013 concerning the murder. They were hoping it would lead to a crucial clue that would ultimately lead to an arrest.

“We did not develop any information that would lead to an arrest on the homicide,” said Steve Jagosh with The Village Police Department.

In August, both men were brought before a grand jury - which was hearing testimony about the murder, but neither was arrested. Wallace even pleaded the 5th and refused to testify. But Isiaka did testify about his whereabouts the night of the double homicide, as well as answered questions about his involvement in the alleged drug ring.

“We need a witness to come forward,” said Jagosh. “We need witnesses to come forward if they know the persons involved in this - and any information they have in reference to this. We need witnesses.”

Police also questioned others in the suspected drug ring about Amber's murder, who were recorded talking about being questioned during the wiretap. But investigators with both The Village Police and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics could only gather enough evidence to prove there was a conspiracy to traffic drugs.

In all 12 were arrested, nine were charged, and all have bonded out. But Amber's case remains unsolved.

“We're going to do what we have to do to try to solve this case,” said Jagosh. “Hopefully somebody at some point in time will come forward with the little bit of information that we need to solve this - and at least give some closure to the family.”

Amber's family has moved out of state, but they are still offering a $10,000 reward. Please call The Village Police Crime stoppers with any information at (405) 751-1234.
