Trash piles up at OKC apartments

Nearly two months of garbage has been piling up at Sunnyview Apartments near SE 44 Street and Sunnylane Road.

Those who live in Sunnyview blame the owners of the complex for not paying the trash bill.

Things got so bad, city health inspectors issued the complex two warnings to clean up the mess.

"It's very gross, you live in the ghetto," said resident Shannon Thompson.

The complex finally paid the trash bill and Waste Management made one round of collections Thursday.

The city's solid waste manager said his inspectors will be back out Friday to make sure the rest of this trash is picked up.
