Soon, a young lady in the metro will have a Total Teen Transformation; a makeover to improve her self-image.
An Edmond Clinic is taking applications right now. The $40 thousand package includes a truly total experience.
Dr. Gina Ressler does Fraxel laser treatments at her clinic and it's a procedure safe for younger patients.
"Acne scarring can come at a young age, and I have done acne scarring treatment for young females who have pitted acne scarring on their face," certified laser technician, Krysta Clayton-Hussey said.
It's a treatment that may be just what some kids going through puberty need -- and its part of the Total Teen Transformation.
"We are looking for a teenage girl, 13-19 years-old," Dr. Gina Ressler of Signature Skin Care said. "Someone that has potentially, some self-image issues, maybe some acne, little overweight, would like to improve their body image."
The Blue U may be used in the makeover, also to help with skin. The accent machine is used to help fix some pudgy problem areas.
But there's more to the total transformation than what you see in the skin clinic. It includes dental and optometric visits along with visiting with a nutritionist, therapist and personal trainer.
The makeover also includes clothing, shoes, jewelry and trips to the hair salon.
"We've seen extreme makeovers for an adult female, but we've not seen anything like this for a teenager," Ressler said. "So, we felt like, wouldn't it be nice for a teenager so we can change their life in a positive way."
An opportunity, Ressler says, to help a teen improve on the way she feels about herself, inside and out.
Any 13 to 19 year-old female can apply for the Total Teen Transformation. Write an essay explaining why you would be a good candidate for the extreme makeover, and e-mail it to email@example.com.
