Students at a local elementary are calling their principal a chicken -- and for good reason.
West Nichols Hills Elementary Principal John Addison dressed up like a chicken and climbed the school's roof to read to kids.
"We started our principal's reading challenge about three or four weeks ago and I told them if they reported and wrote their reports on a little egg and those eggs lined the hallway; if they made it all the way from the gym all the way to the office, I would do this. I would stand up on the roof, do the chicken dance and read a book," said Addison.
Principal Addison did as he said he would and treated the children to a book and the chicken dance.
He has two more performances to go before the day is through.
